ECON is currently looking for a NETWORK COORDINATOR

 

The European Community Organizing Network is looking for a dedicated part-time network coordinator for the period between the 4th of Sep 2017 and 31st of Jan 2018 (with a further employment if both parties are satisfied).

 

WORKING AND LEARNING TOGETHER TO BUILD STRONGER COMMUNITIES, TUZLA (BiH)

Tuzla Community Foundation from Bosnia and Herzegovina supports development of active neighborhoods through the Model of Community Organizing. This approach is targeted in the heart of communities in which time has stopped. So far, they have worked with 18 communities using this approach, mostly in rural communities, in the outskirts of Tuzla.

ECOS - 2nd training for beginner community organizers in Katowice, Poland

"Partners involved in the project "European Community Organizing School", co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, have been busy recently. In the end of November in Slovakia, a seminar promoting e-learning platform was held. The aim of the meeting was to disseminate the platform, which includes number of useful materials in English about community organizing. Moreover, from 19 till 23 January, 17 participants from 5 countries: Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Germany and Bulgaria took part in 2nd training for beginner community organizers in Katowice, Poland. The major topic was the role of the group in the organizing process. Now partners are preparing to next training that will be carried out in May in Budapest, Hungary."

13 civic groups, 112 core members, 27.000 followers, 188 civic actions, 37 successful campaigns that led to concrete changes in Bucharest neighborhoods and 39 local and central public institutions targeted. The numbers describe The Bucharest Civic Network and the groups’ advocacy efforts in the past years.
